Good story - but not what the song is about :)

Listening to this I can't help but think of it as a story. I woman has remembered a scene from her past life where her daughter drowned in the lake near her house. One night while the full moon shone above her she walked down into the lake. Filled with grief she swam until she was too tired to move (to avoid the instinct to swim back up) and drowned herself. The woman singing is her but in her present life, writing the sad song about what she remembers.
