A great song and hit. Sincerily the '80s is the best!!!!

She looks like Dianna Agron

@GuillermoTresHuevos Yeah I got the House Of Schock album on CD and read the inner lines stating Gina only sang and played drums on some of the songs it's a shame though I bet she could play a mean guitar

@banglefan1982 Sorry for the slow response, I just found this upload. I am truly amazed and delighted to see it here; many thanks to the poster. The wonderful guitar work on this track - and pretty much all the rest the rest of this album - is by the gorgeous and seriously talented Chrissy Shefts, who appears in the vid.

Gina looks extremely HOT here.

Here's the problem: Gina's not playing drums.
If Karen Carpenter had stayed behind the drums.....

Gina looked and sang better than Belinda,yet shes was buried in back on the skins go figure.

Although I love Gina, she's my favorite Go-Go, I must confess that I am not a big fan of her singing, There's just something about the unigue tonal quality of her voice, coupled with that peculiar enunciation. It puts me in the mind of a cross between a singing bunny from a 1930's cartoon, and Popeye the sailor.

@hunkyturkey Yes.
Wow! Love this. I'm not familiar with this group. What's their background?

@aimeemannfan2010 House Of Schock was a group comprised of Gina Schock (drummer for the Go-Go's) and Vance DeGeneres (brother of Ellen). "Middle Of Nowhere" was the first single from their self-titled debut album which was released by Capitol Records in 1988. Despite some support from MTV, the song never really caught on, resulting in the label dropping the band in 1989 after only one release. House Of Schock disbanded shortly thereafter...

@MrMont4 - The vinyl 45 single release of this single is ultra-rare, so take good care of it...it's hard to come by!

I love this song and Gina can really sing did she play guitar on the album though or just drums?

Gina actually only played drums on three tracks on the album; the rest were done by a session musician. I'm not sure if she played any guitar.
