This is a special Amtrak Train that has been touring the country. It consists of two locomotives painted in heritage schemess from the past and has several baggage cars filled with displays from Amtrak's history. At the end of the train is a ex-Union Pacific Sleeper built in 1951.
Since i am a railfan I had to go see it in Galesburg which is about an hour and twenty minutes away by train from Mendota IL.
I highly recommend folks to see it if it comes to your state. See the Amtrak 40th anniversary website for where it will be in the remainder of 2011.
The music in the video is performed by me and the Amtrak Song goes back a few years now but people seem to like it so here it is again.
Thanks !
Dear Ray. It is interesting you have this passion/interest in something so different as music and trains. Actually I envy you. I am sometimes too focused on my guitar. It would be nice to have something else to think of too. I'll think of something. Love, Per

@AndanteLargo Hello per, I sometimes say that trains "derailed" my music career. lol. I have spent a great deal of time photographing trains making DVDs etc of train related thing. I also built two large model displays for a museum and a public library here in Illinois. These projects all gobbled of vast amounts of time which unfortunately took me away from pursuing my music to a greater extent. I don't really have any regrets though. I hope to focus more on the music than i have.
peace, Ray
