Song: I've come to expect it from you by George Strait
This is for educational purposes under the Fair Use doctrine. If you enjoy the song, purchase it.

George Strait has over 50 number one hits. He is an institution in some parts of the country. Learn his stuff. He always has great players and writers involved. This brush pattern may be simple, and in a way it is, but the hard part is the discipline involved. You must avoid temptation. There is no need for big fills. Just keep it simple and play YOUR part. You must layer the song properly for it to sound good. If everyone wanted to ass a little extra here and there it would sound jumbled. Keep it simple and groove it.

  • whats the sticking pattern on this?

  • Nice groove, man. You've got great dynamic control. I haven't seen this variation of the train beat before, and now I'm going to try it.

  • good job ... the young cats can learn a lot from learning simplicity and just playing for the song ... much easier said than done. Slow and simple are the hardest to play ...
