In this brief clip from the Making Of documentary created for the original DVD release of the 1994 Night of the Living Dead remake, horror special effects god Tom Savini discusses his time as a combat photographer during the Vietnam War, and how the real images of death he captured on the battlefields shaped him into the gore guru he is today.

I'm mainly uploading this to test out some new conversion and editing software I recently got my hands on; I'll more than likely upload the full 24 minute documentary if all goes smoothly.

  • This is not Tom Savini, he's Sex Machine!!!

  • I've met him on 3 or 4 different occasions and each time he was patient, calm, well-spoken to anyone who approched him. This is coming from a 52 year old married woman who grew up like many fans, being 'addicted' to safe 'rush' you can get from a horror film or book. You couldn't pay me to ride a roller coaster, but to watch any film with Tom's work in it; acting or effects-making, I'm there!

  • its the guy with the gun-dick!

  • Thats cool, Tom is awesome!

  • hahaha he was in the movie From Dusk Till Dawn
