Most people, when talking about the downsides of Autism Speaks, go for specific and extreme examples, like the woman who spoke about wanting to drive her and her daughter off a cliff, but I think just explaining the fundamental difference in philosophy works much better and seems much more sensible.

great video! it is extremely important to advocate for this definition of autism. its a trait, not a problem or disease. when you get people who believe the latter, that just instigates bullying and the crazy vacciners. you also seem like a really cool guy, so ima check out your other videos. I've seen many P4A videos about Autism Speaks and most of them say that Autism Speaks speaks for people with Autism, but many people with autism can speak for themselves, they are independant and do not need to be spoken for. Also, they say that they are looking for a cure for autism, this implies that being autistic is bad. It's not, it's just a different way of seeing the world, it doesn't need a cure.
