Parkersburg Puppy Mill Rescue Part 1

In August 2008 I was sent on assignment by Best Friends to videotape and photograph a Puppy Mill closing in Parkersburg WV. I was the for five days.

There were nearly 1000 dogs at the kennel, which is not an uncommon amount for a commercial dog breeding business.

The weather was in the upper 90's with high humidity, which obviously made the rescue more challenging.

This is part one of a three part series I produced about the rescue.
