Beginning in 2011, Frito-Lay will begin making half of its products using only natural ingredients. As Don Teague reports, the change may be a sign of the times.

  • i wonder how they taste

  • "From a food science perspective, it is difficult to define a food product that is 'natural' because the food has probably been processed and is no longer the product of the earth. That said, FDA has not developed a definition for use of the term natural or its derivatives. However, the agency has not objected to the use of the term if the food does not contain added color, artificial flavors, or synthetic substances." FDA Website...

  • HA! The evil corporation behind genetically modified corn, soy beans, etc, are behind the Frito Lay scam. They are being sued for having genetically modified oil and possibly corn in these so called NATURAL foods. THEY ARE BS.

  • They taste just the same and maybe even better!

  • @Fxr1212 You don't need to be so polite next time, alright? Who mentioned salt? I said OILS. And I'd love to know where you got that data from, BTW. I'm sure it has nothing to do with drugs that keep people alive until their 90's, compensating for their very poor condition of their organs (feeling like shit, but alive)... You'll know once you reach 40 or 50 (if you get there at all).

  • @gaspojo dude shut up... people has lived many years eating salt and all other "dangerous" foods before people found out its not healthy, and live to see 90. Yet, now all these dangerous foods, people stay away from, and dont make it to 60. When its your time to go, god will take you. Other than that i'll continue eating my non healthy foods, and stay fit while i do so.

  • They might even use only fresh local organic non-GM natural ingredients, but as long as they continue to use corn/sunflower/canola or any other nasty polyunsaturated oils, they'll be as harmful as before. Switch to coconut/palm oil, use sweet potato or yam instead, and I'll become a customer. Until then, I'll keep cooking my own.

  • Ah, the good old naturalistic fallacy... Just because something is "natural", it's not necessarily good or healthy for you.

  • What about GM (genetically modified) ingredients? I don't buy food with those

  • @123thelego pay 6.00 bucks and find out..sucker
