I use emacs to write worksheets for my pre-algebra/algebra 1/geometry courses. Here's a short demo of how it's done.

  • Often I do; however, preview-latex speeds up the edit-compile-view-repeat cycle a tad, and after spending a while getting it to work, I figured it might be useful for others to see an example of what it can do. Also you can't C-c C-t C-p (pdflatex) a document with PSTricks code, you can preview it. It's handy to be able to view a picture that you are designing with PSTricks right over the code that you can edit.

  • Presentó con gran claridad las capacidades de AucTeX y me ha gustado, ya que tenía miedo a una complicación adicional, recordar órdenes además de las instrucciones propias de LaTeX.

    Felicitaciones. Un éxito.

  • Emacs is the best.

  • pretty neat, I want to review latex mode now, thanks

  • Why dont you simply use the build in AUCTeX command C-c C-c? This will run LaTeX, your favorite viewer, BibTeX automatically. Maybe you have to switch to pdf mode with C-c C-t C-p first for generating pdfs but I assume you allready did this because you used preview-latex.
