@Lucab94 But he did not die after writing the last note. Furthermore, the evidence suggests that the fugue was propbably finished but the final pages lost by his heirs. Read "Bach's Last Fugue Unfinished?" in "Bach: Essays on His Life and Music" by Christoph Wolff (Bach scholar, Professor of Music, Dean of Grad. School of Arts & Sciences, Harvard University, Dir. of Bach-Archiv, Leipzig).
