I kept this lizard for awhile last year. I found it in my front yard one day so I set up a cage for it and kept it because I thought it was a pet store lizard that wasn't native to Washington, but turns out it was. It's now back in the wild.
I do not own the music.

Before I knew this was native, I would have thought it was from the pet store. You wouldn't think they would be native in the Pacific Northwest.

I'm in Vancouver, WA. These lizards are quite common around the Portland area especially in open areas on the edges of woods. This subspecies gives birth to live young while most alligator lizards lay eggs. They're also highly territorial in the spring during mating season. If you try to keep two males together, they'll fight
