10 year old refuses to say the Pledge of Allegiance until gays can marry

He told his teacher who had repeatedly asked him to stand up, "Ma'am, with all due respect, you can jump off of a bridge".
We all know that its an Americans right under the First Amendment to abstain from reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, but I think this kid may be taking it a bit too far.

You are Pledging Allegiance to the FLAG, not lawmakers who pass the laws that some of us disagree with.
The flag represents Our Republic, and Our Nation.
If he has an issue with gays not being able to marry, he needs to take that issue up with the Supreme Court. And while he is at it, he needs to REMEMBER that the Flag that he refuses to Pledge Allegiance to, is that same flag that represents the Freedom he has to speak his mind.

The father is radiant with pride of his son, and I would be too in his position. The kid is tolerant, sharp as a razor, and has balls the size of Russia. I wish there were more people like in the world - his understanding of life is way ahead that of most adults'.

@KrispyApplez If you try to listen to what he is saying, he is not saying that he doesn't want to say the Pledge, just that he believes in its ideas so much that he refuses to say it without all of them being true! Most kids just don't care and parrot it. I personally think that having to pledge allegiance to your country feels like what they did in Nazi countries, but this kid for sure has the right to his own opinions and I am a fan of him now.
