Gabrielle and Brunhilda: "Life is ..."

I am mad.
I spent a week synchronizing this video, saving it again and again, uploading it, and now this ... because of the song. Thank you! And what about my work?!

Well. First things first: This is not a femmeslash story! That's why there's no slash in the title, you see :)
I used the song as a base for the storyline, so you can take the lyrics as Gabrielle's words to Brunhilda, if you want.

STORY:
Brunhilda's life has been empty before Odin gave her the job to find Xena. Now she is about to discover the world and when she meets Gabrielle, things change completely. In contrast to Odin Gabrielle tells her to listen to her own heart, to do the things she wants to do and to contradict Odin and the chief of the Valkyries [I thought about them as if they were Brunhilda's parents, that is why they are in the "Daddy" and "Mama" parts], if it feels like this is the right thing to do.
Although Brunhilda is not sure about that, the two of them decide to travel together. Slowly Brunhilda learns to trust in Gabrielle. When it comes to the point that Xena loses her mind and Gabrielle is close to giving up everything, Brunhilda talkes to her with almost the same words, preventing her from losing her hope. In the end both of them notice that they have given each other more than they ever intended, but it has lead them to happiness and confidence.

I know there is a lot of "talking" in this video, but that is what it's about! [By the way: I really love the two of them and the whole Valkyrie-trilogy, so there will be more ... someday ;)]

Love the whole idea/story (oy...a slash after all!) of yours! Those two great characters truly deserved a vid like this. Beautiful song, too (a shame the audio got deactivated...well, listening to it on itunes while watching the vid worked just fine for me) Great vid, really. Chapeau!

Btw, the whole 'Xena-Gabrielle, are they lesbo or are they not' thing? Way overplayed. It was ancient Greece... *everybody* was bi, no biggie.

But, ppl fell for it.

I'm a Xena fan, but... this story arc was HOWLINGLY bad. They pretty much butchered the story of Beowulf, and reduced him to a throwaway, minor character.

Along the same lines, later on Odin basically becomes Xena's b**ch, in a battle that takes place off-screen. Boring AND silly.

And the stuff where EVERYONE IN THE EPISODE was in love with Gabrielle? Insufferable.

The writers (hacks?) probably wish they coulda had this one back. But Brittany Powell as Brunnhilde? A vision. =]

@theorderofconduct: In the interviews to this episode, Rob or some of the other guys defenitly says, that in that episode Beowulf AND Brunhilda were in love with gabrielle romanticly. Thats a fact.
