Dr. Diego di Sabato, an Intra-Abdominal Transplant surgeon, talks about his specialized training in living donor liver transplantation. Often people with advanced liver disease will have a friend or family member who wants to donate part of their liver to help. The advantage of living donor transplantation is that it reduces the time that liver disease patients would have to wait on the transplant list. Loyola's Liver Transplant Program comprises a highly trained, multidisciplinary team whose goal is to return you to a better state of health.
