Will this fit in a 240sx, 350z, or 370z??
-
that wouldnt be fair.....
i mean just look at what nissan did with a v6.... A V6!!!!!
now imagine what it could do with a v8.....its just not fair for other car companies....haha
-
@TheGreenSmoke then they shoulda used a w16
-
they should have used a V8 engine. there is no replacement for displacement and technology can only take you so far.
-
whats happening here? please tell me. is this good or bad?
-
@BNR32001939 VQ's suck? Really? And engine that has over 10 best awards. They may not like boost on stock internals, but its a strong NA motor. And im sure the VR38 isnt far off in basic design.
-
@shogun7907 might as well trade in ur 350z and change to a 370z
-
Any noobs here who says the gtr belongs to the skyline is a idiot, the gtr belongs to a indvidual class now as a legend to the nissan, plus the fair lady 370 is not nearly classified as a true skyline any more, soon there will be another range and the sy line and fairlady z will belong to the elites
-
could you not just get a bellhousing made to suit the vr38dett moter and run the 350z box and keep it rwd
-
how quick was that 350z? probably had to hit the firewall back for that monsterous motor.
why isnt it a skyline??? i dont understand i thought all the gtr models are part of the skyline and isnt all the R series skylines why isnt it skyline is it cause new engine no more rb??

from the C10 in the 60's up until the R34, the GT-R was the race homologation model of the Skyline family of sedans. Lesser models of the GT-R was sold in some models as GTSt's, GT-t's etc.
The new GT-R isn't based on a sedan platform like the older models, so the R35 is a seperate entity to the V35/V36 and V37's which carried the Skyline name on from the R34.

yes u are correct, but a bit off the track....
actually, the KPGC10 (1973) was the last GT-R untill the BNR32 (1989)... there haven't been any GT-R's in between due to the great shame beared by nissan coz of the 4th generation skyline - the C110 (from 1974)
and the new one is a GT-R not skyline... skyline is now sold as the infinity G35-37 shape... it is no longer a sports car...
BTW thank God the new GT-R didn't have the VQ engine.... for sure the VQ suck, and so does the 350Z

some of us don't live in the US, so we still get them as skylines, not Infinity's ;)
and the C110 had a GT-R model as well (KPGC110, or a Skyline HT 2000GT-R)... they used the same engines as the KPGC10's with the C110 coupe body. It was only after that they stopped with the GT-R's but they had the 2000GT in the C210's, the RS-X for the R30 and GTS-R for the R31, which is virtually the GT-R equivalent in those models.
Come say hi on skylinesaustralia . com
