MISTER HOMBRE (starring Johnny Duran), is Sasha's first postmodern experiment made for the web. Like the sharp edge of a razor, the sages say, is the path. Narrow it is, and difficult to tread with no script, no budget, no rehearsal or pre-conceived decisions for the ending. Made in a minimalist form, it's a radical reappraisal of modern assumptions about the culture, identity, art and process of indie filmmaking. A return to self-reference and absurdity.
The MISTER HOMBRE web series revolves around a border-crosser who arrives to New York City via wooden cargo box. While on his journey to the sun, he encounters an injured ex-con by a set of railroad tracks moments from death. With his last breath, Rosby Rose (E-Rock) clenches tightly to a paper bag full of money and whispers his dying wish to the Man he simply calls "Mister Hombre"
