@bobwaht I might give Darkstar One a try. For some reason i never got into the X-Series. In fact i have X3 - Reunion right by my desk but everytime i install it the fun only lasts a few hours =/

play freelancer with the shattered worlds mod! freelancer itself is very similar to privateer and the shattered worlds mod brings it up to date graphic wise and allows you to steer capships and bombers

you can find freelancer for 1-4 S depending on the place you buy it and its still the most fun space sim i know

multiplayer is still running but we need more players. you can find our forum by googling. once you registered you can download the mod.

@Hellygator give x3: Terran Conflict a try.. its the good things of X3 with better playability.

Playing it right now. Fun game. Fully load up a Freij Mk 2, attack kastigan and rack up the pirates - can kill 1000+ in an hour

@Hellygator; same actually. I hardly ever play X3. The gameplay in DarkStar one is fun I think. The voice acting is pretty terrible and the FMVs in between are pretty dated though, so you'll have to try and overlook that. Nevertheless, good fun :)

@Fantasiaanzu1 I first played this game with a friend of mine in my early teens. He had a strong PC at that time and i would go visit him to watch him play the game or shoot some fighters down myself.
