One of the world's most popular characters is back on the big screen as a new chapter in the Spider-Man legacy is revealed in The Amazing Spider-Man™. Focusing on an untold story that tells a different side of the Peter Parker story, the new film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, with Martin Sheen and Sally Field. The film is directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay written by James Vanderbilt, based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Laura Ziskin, Avi Arad, and Matt Tolmach are producing the film in association with Marvel Entertainment for Columbia Pictures, which will open in theaters everywhere in 3D on July 3, 2012.

The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance -- leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

Dude, there a lot of people in my age that is really smart and intelligent but they are irresponsible and arrogant sometimes. They also get to do the very wrong things because of peer pressure. But Peter in this films is pressured by finding the truth about his parents, hunting uncle ben's killer, being spiderman, stopping the lizard. All of that by not letting Aunt may know. I mean that puts peter in a deep pressure and a lot if self thinking in his mind. That's why he got a very small conflict

DUH? Isn't it that Tony Stark's different side was completely explored in Ironman 3? 2 films after the first one?

Why do you always blame sony? It's called directors cut, and you people say it's Sony. Spiderman 3 was not even Sony's fault, all they wanted was tease the symbiote and the black suit for Venom reference in their supposedly planned venom movie. But what did Raimi did? He shoved venom in the last 15 minutes and purposedly kill him so that according to him he makes sony "HAPPY".

You also exaggerate Peter in this film like he's the jerkiest person in the world! A human is also misunderstood completely, and you completely misunderstand his character in this movie. This is also a modern interpretation meaning this is how teenagers are today! Heck, Even Peter's attitude in this film is still nothing compared to most teenagers. There are teenagers who smoke weed, shout at their parents for no reason, never come home until tomorrow and lastly the YOLO and SWAG. MY GOD.

There you have it! You perfectly described Peter Parker in this movie! The film doesn't need to be spoon fed to you that Peter was guilty and admits his wrong doings by showing a dialogue or self talking that he is, but rather by judging his actions and emotions, when he was listening to Uncle ben's voice mail in his cellphone, that was a concrete emotion that he feels guilty so he didn't listen to the voice mail completely. And effortlessly finding the killer was a very emotional scenario.
