  • I need some help... I have thick natural curly hair.. But I wonna loc it up but I have been told that they won't stay in my hair because of the texture of my hair

  • it will lock up, u just have to do it differently. u may need a different technique and a different product. and it may take longer to see the progress.

  • even if there frizzy ?

  • yes but you can use ur fingers and twist them, play with them a lil. they will be frizzy for a while.

  • what about if yur starting yur dreads n you had them n for about a week when should you retwist them?

  • you should wait as long as you can. at least 4 weeks.

  • i started my locs out of 2 strand twists about 4 months ago. so of course my hair isnt all the way locked. i just wanted to know if i can wash my hair in between the time that i get it done without messing my hair up. i go to the salon to get it done where they wash and condition and do everything for me. so i just wanted to know if i could wash my hair and not mess it up since they arent all the way locked.???

  • Thanks for letting us know about retightening using a SIMPLE process. I was afraid that I'd have to always use some tool. lol Your hair looks well moisturized! Very nice! I know you probably have the answer to your question by now, but in case you don't and for other viewers I heard Cherie on her "bradelocz twistout" video (naturalhairandbody) say that you can get locs to grow together or "marry" by twisting them together and leaving them.

  • i know im late but if u wanna join your locs a good way to do it is to twist them together and sew them together with needle and thread that matches your hair color

  • I like your persona. You are for real. God bless you.

  • @lilalj1609 u have to use bees wax trust me

  • this is the method if your black. just a little twisting is enough. alot more of a tedious bitch to do if your white

  • Good tips! Thanks a lot!

  • i married several of my locks because they were too thin . i latch hooked the two together at the root. and eventually they grew out as one. u can also two strand twist the two thin lock together and they will fuse. i put a rubberband at the end to secure the two locks together. and after about a month or so the two locks began to fuse
