Question. I need a loop station I can record a rhythm, step on a pedal once to start and playback and once to stop. Some parts in a song where there is a rest will need to quickly start/stop. The Boss RC-2 has to step twice to stop. This seems like it could be a problem. Which Loop station would recommend?

put the looper at the end of the chain then it allows every phrase you play can be with different effects and volumes. Sometimes if you have a pedals which are made for your amp then they can cause problems though, don't know myself how to get around this

it's pretty hard to get round this actually. it happens because your amp is only recieving a signal and any effects changes you make are made to the whole sound. you should invest in a distortion pedal that you could put before your loop pedal so that the signal that goes into it is already distorted or clean.
