BioShock running on a Radeon X850XT PE

This is BioShock which requires Shader Model 3.0 running on my Shader Model 2.0 card.

Yes, it can be done, there's a couple of guys over at the 2K Forums working on a fix.

Users of the (perhaps)9### and X8## series cards, for instance, can run the game since the cards still works fine in non-only-SM3.0 games.
As you can see the game runs pretty smooth so there's nothing wrong with it performance wise juuuust yet.

Regarding the bright colors all over the place, like I said: It's a work in progress but word has it the next release will have lots of the surfaces fixed.

EVGA 8800GTX SuperClocked

1280x720 and 2X AA 16AF

wow the graphics look good, which doesn't make much since at all, it's only got 16 shader processors, guess it makes LITTLE difference how many you have.

This colour-orgie is due to that X850XT only has pixel shader 2,0b. U need a graphic card with pixel shader sm3.0 at least to play bioshock and some newer games. There is a developed fix that makes biochock run for sm2.0b cards as well, but it´s hard to get the colours right then. When I bought x850xt, doom3 was popular and it only demanded sm1.0 New cards has at least sm4.1 . One way to play sm3 games with sm2.0b card is to wait 4 a new version of the software swiftshader or buy new card...
