its a cross knee pick sorta thing. I recently learned it and it works great off of a two on one tie.

I don't think that's an ankle pick. It looked like a Hi-C but instead of the hand up the crotch or one the leg, he caught the ankle. To be able to attack like that... that's skills.
Closest thing to an ankle pick was at 1:29-1:30, the knee pick, which was also skillfully done.
How these russians wrestle is amazing.

That's no variation of an ankle pick What you see there is a smooth hi-c setup on the lower calf...Ankle pick = You get yourself a ankle and you don't let go of the head that you use to setup. He falls, you let go of the head, keep ankle, transition. As you can see...the fella demonstrating hi-c and was gone. No need to wait for a response. Just secure an opening.
