You welcome, I still personally think you should give it another shot since my personal opinion is that speed runs are rather flawless and point is get thru the game as fast as possible even if it means taking damage to glitch ownself on the higher platfom. As for contra games, taking damage just slows down.

This is one of the first videos i made after i dusted of the ol' Amstrad. Dont think i knew the proper definition of "speedrun" back then, i just named em all "speedrun" even tho they are probably more longplay's really.

Quality of the video is also really horrible (donno what i was thinking with those settings). Will probably upload a genuine longplay of this later. Anyways, thanks for your comment :)

Tough crowd :D Yes, its a speedrun but i do realise i fail horrible on the "speed" part. Note how i aim for the weak parts in the tunnels right away. Failing to pick up the invincible pill on lvl 2 wasnt a good thing of cause, and dying pretty much means you have to "fight the bear with just a pocketknife" :)

Last stage was the hardest as i couldnt remember the locations of the hidden invisible mines that is all over that stage. Hornestly i was just at the time that i managed to finish it alive.
