Ella Fitzgerald is my favourite singer of all time. "Love Is Here To Stay" is my favourite Gershwin song of all time. Nelson Riddle is my favourite arranger of all time. What a perfect combination!

@balen3 right on! i'm 20 and i grew up with my grandparents and my parents - a father who was a music major. i was quite lucky to be exposed to my grandparents music and my dad's expansive music knowledge. i was the girl growing up on everything from Mozart to glen miller to the chubby checker and Elvis. it's true - most music today lacks style and class. my college roommate has a lil wayne poster. i don't know if we're going to see eye to eye on music.

To Balen3 - AWESOME to have numbers behind your name - and really - are you any different in your own self than when these great songs were first in the air? My body (and maybe yours too!) begins to disappoint the expectations, but my mind, heart and soul are able to appreciate the good things in life --- like Ella :)

Ella Fitzgerald and Nat King Cole rule this song! No one can compare and it is one of those rare occasions where I really like the song sung by two different, though fine singers.

@balen3 I wish I could've enjoyed the music from this era and been born during that time...but I'm glad that the music is still around. I listen to ella everyday..her voice is so soothing

Oh how right everyone is to say that Ella together with Nelson Riddle Where the GREATS, How lucky we were to have been born when we were, to have enjoyed MUSIC I feel for the young now, as all they have is Noise for music. We had all the Greats. I am 81 years old, and now use You Tube on while doing other things.
