This can happen where ever you are! Form a tenants group, talk to the landlord - give him or her lots of fresh veg!

What a great project. Great use of space and you got such a bountiful harvest from it. I'd love an update on how the cold weather garden went!

Great video and super project. As another urban gardener--although I specialize in growing flowers and supporting my local farmer's market for produce--I can really appreciate all the care that goes into and comes out of even a small plot. Thanks for sharing. I'll look for more!

I want to get a job (a good job) in Toronto and build an urban garden in a lot next to an apartment.

One of the reasons to have a raised bed (one of the best reasons) is to have it narrow enough to reach into from all sides -- 4 feet wide or smaller -- so you don't have to step on the soil. If you weigh 180 lbs, that's all going on a single knee, shoe, or elbow and compacting the soil. It does not help your plants - they need loose, uncompacted soil to be really happy.
And you might consider thinking about something besides rows to maximize space. Check out Square Foot Gardening
