I have recently learned more about sailing and will make another set of videos. In short; the sailing shown is mid-range ult. For top ten, one needs to be more efficient, and use more platforms. The technique of clearing a board down to one platform and no obstacles and filling it with vegas^k over and over again is good enough for mid-range on viridian. That isn't good enough for higher.

The critical thing is that a triple on just platforms, or a donkey on just platforms, is better than just about every vegas^k (on normal blocks) out there.

Another good combo is a vegas^k that ends in a platform (but its better if more platforms are used).

When all else fails one can stall by just building a vegas^k as in these videos, in order to clear out blocks in the middle of the board blocking platforms. This is better than clearing them with singles/doubles/triples (without platforms -- with platforms, triples are good enough on their own (no sacrifice)).

Something to keep in mind is that score is about averaging -- so one could make a really great move that is only worth 80 raw points, but, if done with 6 moves, then it is locally great. (if you keep that rate up).
