If you've been metal detecting for any amount of time, you know this formula...

Proper Research + Proper Technique = Success!

To do this stuff right, you first need to do your homework to determine what it is you are looking to find. After you know what you are looking for, then you need to know how to go about looking for it. Get these two steps nailed down, and guess what? Most of the time you actually WILL find it.

The problem most people have, is doing the proper research, and knowing where to start looking. So they take their detecter out in some field and start blind swinging. Well, sure, that will work 25% of the time. But if that is your method for treasure hunting, I know beyond the shadow of doubt that you are missing 90% of stuff you are walking right over!

And while you are walking around, scratching your head, wondering why you cant seem to strike gold with your detector, more experienced people such as myself are walking behind you, spending half the amount of time, and digging up twice the amounts of treasure.

And you know what? It's LOADS OF FUN. This is one of the best hobbies for anyone to get into, and learn how to do it right, because the rewards can last a lifetime, and it is instant entertainment!
