Why do you get off, at insulting those in power. Show me one politician that has real leadership; it must be Nelson Mandela. You should see these troubles as having began long before Obama set foot in the white house, honestly, he's doing his job like all of us and its sad that some feel so angry towards him, hopefully you see him as human.

I think the more progressive phrase is person of colour, not coloured person . the latter is soo pre civil rights movement. I thought this guy has spent a significant proportion of his life in America.

No, you are not mistaken. It was bad lending habits inspired by short term greed which created mountains of bad assets. That is what unregulated market will do for you.

Tinuviel11, maybe I'm mistaken, but didn't deregulation help us dig the hole we're in now? We can't fully rely on markets and free enterprise doing their thing.

I don't think you really read that through before hitting the post button. If it takes time the reason for starting right away should be obvious to anyone. What do you say, start later and get the results even later?
It was the unrestrained free market that created the recession in the first place. That is common knowledge. Lift even more regulations and you are heading for the abyss.
