@bluedude4000 Then Dwight Howard's superman dunk in the wasn't a dunk. And really any one-handed dunk by someone who doesn't have gigantic hands isn't a dunk since their hand doesn't touch the rim most of the time.

He threw the ball down inside the basket. That's a dunk. If you wanna call it something else suit yourself, but that won't change the fact that it IS a dunk.

And really, dunk or not, why would it be overrated ? Why would the (non-existent) fact that it's not a dunk make it overrated ?

It's blasphemy to compare this hybrid to Kemp. Kemp was by light years further more fluid, athletic, flexible and explosive in the air. Griffin goes up and comes down stiff like a rock, his body doesn't bend or fold. And the answer is simple: Kemp was pure black while Griffin is a disgusting ugly bio-hybrid.
