i think it might be better if you set up some sort of mirror grid around it. just an idea.

the other one is mains powered so mirrors are not required as it lights up the whole room!

100 low powered leds are placed under the glass top conected to a solar panel also under the glass, leave near a window and then when the batteries are charged you then decide the mode you require.
