First part of a 162 mile bicycle tour of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal from Cumberland, Maryland to Washington D.C. Our hapless heroes are soon to be in-laws looking for America on the towpath of life.
Great video! A friend and I are doing the C&O this summer! I'm happy to say that Bill is still doing well in Little Orleans...just talked to him about a month ago. I especially like the more secluded northern end. The canal is still watered in the area of Oldtown, Maryland and looks much as it did when it was still operating. The C&O Canal and towpath is a great place to ride a bike or hike. I'm looking forward to part two of your trip!
