Serena I miss you :( WTA is so boring without you.
Queen of tennis!

@VenusEbony I disagree; I think someone "deserved" a victory over Serena in a major when they have earned match point and won it, Clijsters didn't have to do either. And as anyone who's followed Serena at all knows, closing her out is a tough proposition in a grand slam, as evidenced by her many combacks from behind, including match points against her, to win.

@Impulsensx well, in fact it's sad that we won't ever know what would have happened. I'm not Serena biggest fan, but she's a fierce competitor, and I absolutely understood why she lost it when that line-judge made that call. I think I would also want to shove a ball down her throat. What I also liked, is that Serena kept her composure and was nice to Kim, while Kim was completely shocked about what happened. But beeing a huge Kim-fan, I still think she deserved the win ;)

@orbitalwarrior I agree with you on the fact that Serena was her own worse enemy in this match. She visibly put too much pressure on herself, which is why she smashed the racquet after losing the 1st set (a rarity for her). As a result of the pressure she placed on herself her game wasn't flowing as it should've, which is why she was in the position of being down a set in the 1st place. So b/c she wasn't in top gear at the time, I stick with my "deserved" comment b/c she could've turned it on.

@Impulsensx well, Serena's obviously a fighter, but Clijsters deserved the win. Serena had been frustrated the whole match, Kim was playing well, and Rena wasn't able to lift her game. It's true, she has been down so many times, and still won, but that's mostly because she plays slugish and isn't mentally there, and then she switches. Now she wasn't playing that badly, and she was mentally there, but in a frustrated way, she wanted the win too much, like she wanted to prove something to herself.

@Impulsensx I wish I could like this 100 times. In fact, Serena saved two match points against Clijsters in 2003. And you're right, she's done it many other times @ Grand Slams. The worst part about this match is we'll never know how it would have ended - and who would have won. And to be honest, I love Kim; that's why I'm so sad we didn't get to see the rest of this match. I look forward to their next encounter, and I hope Serena is healthy and fit and back on the court soon!
