wild Chipmunk Hand feeding

Today i walked up to two chipmunks feeding from bird seed that was droping out of the bird feeder they didn't run away.I did today what took me a whole summer to do when i was a kid.I hand feed a chipmunk again.When i was a kid i fed one acorns it just took it from my hand .TODAY the chipmunk went in my hand It took all of 5 minutes to get the little guy to do it .I wouldn't do this all the time because they can bite. but took a chance today .lolThis was a small one i don't think it knew to be scared of people yet.Anmials just love it around here or just love me.lol Thought it would be intresting to share .

Yes, my chippie in my yard ate from my hand. He'll come sit IN my hand and eat. But ti took a long time for him to build that trust in me. I posted a You Tube video with the still shots. "The Summer of The Chipmunk". You'll see Otis sitting in my hand at the end. They're so much fun!!!

Like I said it took me a whole summer when i was young this was just one day and a second chance to do it what a great day and fun it was.thanks for the comment

this is a great video...i've got to try this now...i've got several chippys in the garden eating from feeders all day...i was just wondering if anyone had hand fed them before...aren't they lovely little things...

It was just the craziest thing .I was sitting there and I guess from the food droping from the feeder they were taking the seeds so it was running around and I said let me try this but if your a child I would not do it they could BITE you an it wasn't very smart of me but I did enjoy the little stinker I do have to say lol.They wanted the sunflower seed.

yeah i was camping and i game a couple about half a bag of sunflower seeds (about 100) and we went to the store and my brother left his almost full bag on the table open then we came back they were all done
