  • SAE J1319 rear fog lamp; - mandate into FMVSS-108.

    (World Reg for same: UNECE 38).

    Crazy the US hasn't mandated this lamp function yet. Cheap life insurance that prevents or reduces severity of crash impact, when under heavy fog, torrential rain, in dustorms and blizzards et al.

    Standard taillights are worthless under such conditions, install a rear fog lamp if you remotely give a damn about your family.

    Carry a safety vest in the car in case, warning triangle ditto.
