The 2-Handed Sketch project, from the Microsoft Center for Research on Pen-Centric Computing at Brown University (http://pen.cs.brown.edu/).

This video demonstrates a range of bimanual interaction techniques for performing operations in 3D desktop applications. For many tasks, particularly those involving multiple degrees of freedom, working simultaneously with both hand facilitates more natural amd fluid interactions, since actions do not have to be decomposed into a sequential series of unimanual operations. Bimanual techniques can also be more efficient than their unimanual counterparts because of increased interaction bandwidth and because co-varying parametric relationships, like juxtaposing two objects relative to some background, can be explored easily. Although this video was shot over a decade ago, the interactions are timely because of the recent emergence of multi-touch surface computing.
