Video of Scott Solle (Rescue 3 International Swiftwater Rescue Instructor) using an Alpacka Raft to extricate a rope that an unknown person lost to Eagle River at Campground Rapids. Scott side-surfs into a pourover hole, tosses his paddle, draws an NRS river knife and hacks the rope to remove the large amount of slack dangling in the backwash, boil line and outwash of the pourover. Once the rope is cut, Scott manages to hold a balanced surf, replace the blade into the sheath, and drift into the outwash. Don't try this at home or on the river.
