It's a great clip!
Just realize that the "speech" is a travesty on other speeches leading up to songs.
Jon underlines this by saying "I swear every word is true" (smiling).
His "story" is introducing the song, which was written from a 1st person perspective, which obviously wasn't Jon's. I like the Springsteenesque performance at the end!! =)
