  • Most of the people lining the streets were from Hong Kong. I was there myself and I have been living in Hong KOng for over 20 years. All of my friends went out to support. HK people have freedom of speech and press, we criticize the govt for what we don't like and what we think they've done wrong. But we all support the Olympics. It should be a politics free event and people like 'therepublicofhk' should be kept out of it, all they're going to do is ruin it for the rest of us.

  • Are you serious that most of the people lining on the streets were from mainland? Be admitted that many Hong Kong people have accepted China is their country. As the first Olympic Game will be held in China, Chinese people should be proud.

  • Some people in the West don't want to see a strong China and that is why they fund those separatists overseas. I think democracy is a word that is given too much credit.

  • thank u sormuihk

  • good job....

  • What the hell!

    - The West can NOT tolerate a strong China. They want to keep China down. This their ONLY objective. Democracy, no democracy your Western ass! Who the fu-ck gives a shit about your word games!

  • Oh how typical of Western hypocrisy.

    - 1989 Tiananmen Square. When the naive Chinese students who were brainwashed by the Western media wanted democracy. The Western media cried out "give me freedom or give death!"

    - 2008 Olympic Torch Relay. When the now much more sophisticated Chinese students who are no longer fooled by Western propaganda and demonstrate in support of China. The Western media cry out "Chinese nationalism and thus Chinese democracy is dangerous!"

  • I am proud of China holding the olympic (*^_^*)

    中國加油!香港加油!

  • Thank god its over, all the photungua speaking hooligans from mainland are gone, who terrorised the HK protesters. But I'm still laughing at those torch body guards even George bush do not have so many body guards.

I want HK Govt. to shut the borders on such occasions so we can peacefully protest without those hooligans.

Lastly, kudos to those who had courage to speak out and shame on the HK cops. I have recently witnessed they are behaving like an animals and wow 3,000 cops for olympic torch!!

  • Most people at the olympic torch relay were HK ppl, including me, I was there. I hope western news won't twist the facts and lie about this truth.

  • we are all Chinese..no need to thank us lah. As a hk ppl, I am proud HK held the olympic torch relay. Lets support the olympic together. Go China! Go Hong Kong! Go All Chinese people!
