The largest spa in the Czech republic established back to 1360. The Roman Emperor and Czech King Charles IV raised the status of the town in 1370. There are more than 12 healing springs in the town. The compositions of springs are similar but they differ in temperature and the amount of carbon dioxide.
Mineral-rich mud from a nearby source is also used in treatments. The water and mud are used to treat patients with digestive and locomotive disorders‚ diabetes and obesity.
