Armed with logging tools and wearing lady's wigs, ancient Spartans and Athenians fight to the death in this reenactment of the famous historical battle, made for a high school Western Civ class.
This is definitely not 300 by Frank Miller. Ahem.
Mild to moderate shredded red paper violence (you'll see.)
This classic gem was created in the dark ages before digital video/editing. Like most of our early works it was a collaborative creation, though George Weare gets writing and directing credit, especially since it was for his sophomore year Western Civ class. I can't remember what grade he got--it wasn't very good.
Other credits:
Colin Bonfield, Cameras, Athenian
Chris Mellette, Spartan
James Albright, Spartan
Nathan Ergmann, marathon runner
George Weare, Director, Writer, Spartan
E. D. W. Lynch, fight scene choreographer, host, Athenian
that was awesome.

Here we witness an epic piece of historical theater in which we hear one of the great lines of all stage and screen, "Whatever, Epidimus..." It doesn't get any more poignant than this.

We tried "Popotamus" but it just didn't play well with test audiences. Regardless, none of it played well with the high school teacher who graded it.
