Courtesy of our partner, Hitachi Medical Systems, you can learn more about what to expect when you visit Diagnostic Imaging Services in Metairie to undergo a MRI, utlizing the Oasis bore-less high field open MRI -- the only bore-less open MRI in Louisiana!

Bore-less simply means -- no tube!

Patients can see out practically to the entire MRI exam room. You can be more calm and relaxed if you feel you would experience anxiousness or nervousness by entering a tube. Larger patients, due to the wider gap provided by the MRI, can be comfortably accommodated, with the Oasis able to scan patients up to 660 pounds!

A family member, friend or loved one may bea ble to accompany you into the examing room and sit with you during the test.

Together with an experienced DIS MRI technologist, patients who may be worried about entering a closed circular cylinder have an alternative with the Oasis open structure. The goal is to provide a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere for patients of all ages, from children to adult to the elderly.

Diagnostic Imaging Services: working to be your choice.
