Buy this Jazzmaster here... http://www.nevadamusic.co.uk/Guitars/Electric-Guitars/Electric-Guitars/sc1437...
Here we have an interesting blend of old and new, firstly the iconic Fender Jazzmaster guitar has been expertly re-created here by Squier replacing the traditional pick-ups with Seymour Duncan designed pickups to provide a fresh twist on this otherwise retro-styled guitar ...

The vintage modifications could be the fact that the bridge is equipped with additional screws to fine-tune the intonation or perhaps that Squier have re-created the '62 style stacked concentric volume and tone controls. The Squier Vintage Modified Jazzmaster is presented here in an attractive 2 colour sunburst with a Maple fretboard, the body has been crafted from Alder complimented by a Maple neck hosting 22 medium jumbo frets with inlaid black dot position markers ...

There are two Seymour Duncan designed pick-ups - a JM101B at the bridge with a JM101N at the neck position - both using Alnico V magnets and these are controlled by two concentric stacked rotary knobs that use the top rotary control for the tone and the bottom one for the volume. A 3-way toggle switch located at the left hand shoulder of the instrument decides on pick-up options whilst the top-loading hard-tail bridge features string saddles that are adjustable for intonation and designed to have a 9.5" radius when sitting flat on the bridge plate.

The bridge is anchored at the rear of the plate while the front sits atop height adjustment screws that can be raised or lowered to achieve desired string height/action, while subtle adjustment at the rear (anchor) achieves the correct bridge angle. • Great video & I really want to get this guitar. What is the amp and overdrive you are using in the first part of the video? It sounds awsome, really crunchy. is it an overdrive pedal or is it coming from the amp? what amp is it? Do you have any other effect in the chain?

  • @vinnypiana This is just the guitar straight into a Fender Mustang II amp which has fx and great amp tones, so no other pedals needed.

  • is it just the lighting or do the pick ups/pick guard have some sort of perloid sparkle?

(PLEASE BE THE LIGHTING OR PLASTIC ON THEM)

  • @guttermoth Hi. The scratch plate on the sunburst Jazzmaster is a standard parchment 3 ply. There is the usual plastic cover on it and the pickups too which does indeed look more reflective and shiny, especially with all the flourescent tubes in the ceiling so don't worry, it'll look nice and vintage correct when you get it home and remove all the protective plastic.

  • Great Demos. Beautiful playing, keep these brilliant videos coming!

  • @sabre242 cheers dude, keep on rockin!! ;)

  • Needs a red-tortoise pickguard. Went with the butterscotch because I didn't like the white pickguard.

  • Modified to mean nothing like a jazzmaster. Sounds like all the other squiers to me, crap.

  • Is it possible to change that bridge for a strat tremolo bridge? please!

  • @thelastlonesurvivor It's not shown because there is no tremolo.

  • Whats the forst song? Hendrix?!

  • Please Review the new J Mascis - Squire - ASAP! -thanks!

  • He's playing on a fender mustang amp i think

  • the butterscotch blonde finish looks better than the 2-tone sunburst in my opinion.

  • @modestmouseman11 Look at the headstock at 2:00. It says Squier on it. Squier's part of Fender.
