Just for the record..I never really have much luck with food saver bags. As far as food is concerned..things that make their own gasses like potatoes and other veggies..they won't keep their seal.....My food saver only works about part of the time...once you seal 5 or so bags, the bags will not seal right and become air tight. I would say next time, get pvc, some really good thick trash bags and maybe mylar bags with oxy obsorbers..those should seal up good and tight.

I would have not painted the box. That just messes up the seal that you were trying to make with the tape. Also, I would have used the metal HVAC tape, which is much sturdier than duct tape and would probably have made a better seal. Although to be honest, you're not going to keep water out of anything forever. If you want to vacuum pack things, try wrapping them in towels before you seal them. That will help prevent tears in the vacuum bag and a loss of seal. Nice kit, though.

@Prepper7 Hey, you prepped by using a cache, had a problem, and the contents of your cache solved a problem. Mission accomplished, don't cry. Consider next time just using a 5 gallon plastic bucket.

FOOD GRADE 5 GALLON PAILS HAVE A REAL SEAL AND ARE FREE AT BURGERKING. THEY ARE THE DILL PICKLE PAILS.

metal has condisation issuses unless you fill it with gas and use lead to seal it then it works well but pvc pipie cheap and easy to use

1000 bux to fix a head gasket! wow
Obviously you don't prep for the shit that's really important or you would change that head gasket yourself and save yourself 900 or more of that thousand dollars you say it is going to cost to change it.

@mannexx111 Dude I totally would if I had the tools, I want to learn, but I'm in college living with my folks it's not like I can have a half torn apart explorer in the driveway for 2 weeks while I teach myself auto repair! It's not like I'm just lazy and looking for pity shit just happens and at my current phase in life paying someone to do it is really my only option. I checked out your channel and it's not bad, but you might wanna practice making friends better.

or worse, a kid finding it and hurting himself or others. I would just say that you should probably keep the guns more safely. That's just some advice, but like I said, I'm not a lawyer, but it just seems like you're opening yourself up to liability. Good luck in everything!

@Silverpicker Understandable, but the firearm is not in my name there is no personally identifiable items in the cache so if someone did find it before shtf (after is doesn't matter) they wouldn't be able to trace it to me and the gun is not stolen or reported missing so as far as Washington laws go the person with it in their possession would be responsible for it's use or misuse.
