Bloodgood at Cornerstone 2007 - Heaven on Earth

Bloodgood played the HM Magazine Stage along with 3 other Christian metal veterans - X-sinner, Bride, and Whitecross.
I expected the tent to be full of middle-aged metal heads (such as myself, LOL). I was very pleasantly surprised to find that fully 2/3 of the audience was under 25 (with a healthy showing of older teens) and they were totally getting into the show. Many of them knew the songs and were singing along...not just there to see if us old folks still knew how to rock! The current line-up includes founder and bassist Michael Bloodgood, Les Carlsen on vocals, Paul Jackson on Guitar, Mark Welling on drums, and newcomer, Oz Fox (of Stryper fame) on guitar. They haven't lost the edge which I sharpened my metal horns on quite a few years ago.

I love Bloodgood! We played with them in 1987 as Holy Right in fontana.

It is also cool to see Oz with them. :)

Sweet. Les really sounds great, even if he looks a bit like Louie Weaver now. Man, I would have loved to be at that show. Bloodgood, Bride, and Whitecross were staples of my tapedeck in my 1985 Subaru in high school.

Is Oz an on-going member of the band? Surely not; isn't Stryper still together, recording and touring since 2004-ish?

Yeah I was there also! Bloodgood Rocked the Sanctuary Stage.Awesome 1st reunion show with michael back on bass,and Oz Fox on lead guitar. If you were'nt there you missed out.

I'm not a Christian (pretty much an Agnostic here) but these guys are great. It's awesome to see they still rock! Mark Welling was the drummer for another great Northwest band PERENNIAL. And of course Oz - killer!
