Times are difficult right now for a lot of people and quite a lot of businesses are struggling online and off.
However, this is not the time to get discourage and lackadaisical with working your online business. During this slow period, you should be concentrating on building your brand and your online presence, so that when the economy does begin to pick-up and people start looking for you and/or your product or service, you will have enough content online for them to easily find you.
If you are serious about becoming a successful internet marketer, use any slow period or down time you may have to write and post articles and blogs, make videos, interact and post to forums, start a Facebook Fan page, tweet good content regularly and keep your eyes open for new methods, tools, forums, marketing systems, etc.
The great thing about internet marketing is that it doesn't take a lot of money to do, although it does require considerable time and effort. However, the potential return on your investment, which is essentially your time, is enormous.
