  • How long do you usually study a language for?

  • It depends on the language and how much time per day. I think that something like 1000 to 2000 hours is necessary.

  • zhouyuml

Te Reply function here does not seem to work.

You can find a number of Chinese web videos of me here at Youtube.

  • hi,lingosteve, nice to meet you here, i am from Chinese and i was wandering if you could speak Chinese. i majored in english linguistics thus it is really my pleasure to find you web!thanks!

  • Have you checked out my other youtubes in Chinese?

  • I may sound like a Idiot, but the First beginner email is still too advanced for me and I don't get what I'm suppose to do, I have looked at the demos

  • I do not know what your 4th level of study is. However, please select Anfänger ohne Vorkenntnisse, 1. Beginner - Willkommen hier!. Listen to it. Read it. Save words and phrases and study them as per the Demos. Listen to that content many times, then go on to the next. If you are unable to do that then I think our site is not for you.

  • what i like about LingQ is that it helps you learn the writen and reading portions of the language first then listening and speaking come 2nd. if you can read and understand an language it helps you to become independant in a language

  • You're amazing!

I wonder how many languages you can speak.

  • also watching movies, listening (and singing) songs, about the language you are learning actually furthermore improves learning
