I gave it a thumbs up because you have to start somewhere, and no one just opened up protools and rocked everyone's balls off.
For a fan edit you did a pretty good job, but because of the synth type they used it doesn't fit great. Just doesn't sound right. It lines up pretty good for being an early try at it, and overall I like your direction.
