This song was written recently as a whistful take on the recent events surrounding the brief disappearance of South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford. Though many suspected foul play, it turned out he was in Argentina with his mistress, Maria Belen Shapur (or is it Chapur?), who may go down in history as the next Donna Rice (if any of use can remember the last one.)
The erstwhile author and singer, Ed Haynes, sent me this song and asked me to do some kind of video for it. This is what I was able to make with the budget he gave me. This was inspired in many ways by the video for "Free As A Bird," which was directed by a mentor of mine. The main exception is that this video has no bird or Beatles songs, but they are both videos, of a sort, but not really.
