Where did you decide the greens were remainders? Was there something on them that said so? And why wasn't "0" included in the Evens, which strictly speaking, '0' is? Evens and Odds do balance each other out. If what you're saying is true, then he should've done positives and negatives, where zero would be a true outcast because it's neither, and then the greens could be the irrational numbers, of which there are infinitely more, and could be represented by pi instead of a circle on the lapel

actually its a fairly deep animation. It's about the philosophy of balance. You saw that the blues were even and the odds were yellow while pink character was supposed to be "0". The odd and even characters were trying to strive for balance but they couldn't because they weren't positive and negatives which would balance out the equation (so to speak.) While in the process of trying to balance each other out they ended up producing the remainder factor which was proof of their being unbalanced.
