Hi Dayna...I love what you are saying! School is a tool, just ONE of the many options to learning. We want to inspire our kids to LOVE life and learning and sometimes school doesn't do that for our kids...especially those with autism or related challenges. Have you heard of the Son-Rise Program? Home-based therapy for special needs and is based on the principles of following our passions!

Schools, not unlike hospitals and prisons; are institutions!

My 13 year young son and I have been harassed by community and government for all our years together, simply because we wisely made the choice to unschool.

Rather than be supported in our consciousness-raising cause, and others embracing the beauty of our peaceful life, we are constantly receiving friction ... especially as a single Mom.

My son was even apprehended at the age of 8, on suspicion that "he may become illiterate!".

Way to go Dayna!

After 10 years of unschooling my child - I am so thankful to find unschooling discussed extensively on you tube! Schools are like prisons. I raised 2 daughters now age 24 & 31 & it was complete chaos in public schools, & they focused on all of the wrong things in life! I was raised in extremely hard private school & never amounted to much of anything. If I could have unschooled, I feel I would have accomplished something. My son loves unschooling, he works hard but doe snot even know it!

I believe that you and these videos are going to go quite far! Keep up the good work!

I loved what you said about when your kids are in school, you are definitey not free, because your life revolves around the schools' schedule. Never have I felt more free than when I took my children out of school!

viewed your video 4 the 3rd time. I've enjoyed your vision of relief 4 mothers and their families. Have you considered a place for culture in education. As in Theatrical Drama/ learning through Art and the Art of learning!
